What we take care of.

Fully insured

We're fully insured, and we send your venue whatever paperwork it needs without you having to ask twice.

The collections

Organized the way you plan a space.

We group our plants by what they do for a room, not by botanical name. Mix and match, and we'll help you put the look together.

Good to know

Common questions.

The things people ask us most, so you can plan without waiting on an email reply.

What areas do you serve?

We serve San Jose, the Peninsula, San Francisco and the East Bay, with the rest of Northern California by arrangement. Other service areas: Los Angeles; Orange County; San Diego; Seattle; Chicago; Boston; Philadelphia; New York City; Washington, DC; Houston; Dallas–Fort Worth; Austin; Phoenix; Nashville; San Antonio; each event’s availability, delivery, placement and pickup are confirmed in the proposal.

Which venues do you deliver to?

Anywhere in our service area, including convention centers like San Jose McEnery, Moscone Center, and the Santa Clara Convention Center Convene 100 Stockton, San Francisco rooms like Pier 27, Fort Mason Center, and the Palace of Fine Arts, plus corporate campuses, hotels, galleries, and private homes. Loading docks, service elevators, and early-morning load-ins are a normal part of our week.

What kinds of events do you take on?

Trade shows, conferences, product launches, galas, and corporate events, plus home staging and open houses. If you're not sure yours fits, just ask.

Do you rent plants for home staging and open houses?

Yes. We rent greenery for staged homes, model units and open houses, with the same $3,000 minimum. Tell us the rooms, the look and how long you need the plants, and we’ll shape the proposal around your timeline.

Can you handle large or high-volume events?

Yes. Most conference and activation builds land at $3,000–$12,000. Full-floor, multi-zone, and multi-city programs can scale beyond $100,000. We source plants and planters to order, so we can build to the scope your event needs.

How much does event plant rental cost in the Bay Area?

Event plant rentals have a $3,000 minimum. Pricing is per plant, with planters included. One rental price covers up to three days; longer rentals are quoted for the full agreed period. Delivery is a separate, one-time $500 non-taxable line. Your itemized proposal confirms plant selection, rental dates, applicable plant tax and service scope.

How far ahead should I book?

Four to six weeks ahead is ideal, and bigger orders need more lead time. We can often handle rush requests too. Reach out and we'll tell you right away what's possible for your date.

What does full service include?

We plan the greenery around your room and arrange delivery and pickup. Installation, styling and who handles movement inside the venue are confirmed in your proposal, so everyone knows what to expect. We do not staff on-site watering during the event.

What if a plant gets damaged during my event?

Contact us and we’ll arrange a replacement. The timing and access depend on your event location and the venue’s schedule.

Are you insured? Can you provide a COI for my venue?

Yes. We're fully insured for every event and provide Certificates of Insurance on request. Send us your venue's requirements and we'll handle the paperwork.

When is payment due?

Full payment is due 10 calendar days before your confirmed drop-off date. The drop-off date is The Preserve’s event date, even if your show opens later. Your approved proposal and invoice record the payment deadline and any agreed exception.

Do you offer ongoing office or retail plant care?

Not at the moment. We focus on event rentals so we can do them really well.

How do I get started?

Fill out the form below or email us at friends@shopthepreserve.com. A real person will reply within one business day with next steps.

Can one person coordinate plants for events in multiple cities?

Yes. Sammy is your point person for greenery across our listed service cities, and we’re continuing to expand. Send your cities, dates and the look you want to carry between events. We’ll confirm availability and prepare the plant and service plan for each stop.

Can you work from venue photos, a floor plan or a lookbook?

Yes. Send the room photos, floor plan or lookbook you already have. We use them to suggest plants for entrances, stages, lounges and other key areas, then prepare an itemized proposal with plant references. Where useful, we can add a clearly labeled AI concept to help you picture the room. Final quantities, placement and access are confirmed in the proposal.

Can I see examples of completed event plant rentals?

Yes. See our completed Bay Area leadership event for the plant plan, real event photos and service responsibilities, or our San Jose corporate event. Any AI comparison images are labeled separately from the actual event photographs.

Can I visit a Preserve shop?

We work by arrangement and do not offer walk-in visits or fixed public hours. The shop photographs in our portfolio show our former San Jose space. For event rentals, use the form below or email friends@shopthepreserve.com.
